In this article you can check how to adjust the apparent and manufacturing length for the segments in E3.series. With the insertion of a formboard sheet, all the functionalities of the E3.formboard module are enabled and you have the complete tool for manufacturing cables and harnesses. Initially, a new formboard sheet is added to the project. With it, all the features and options of the E3.formboard module are available.

Then, the connection between the connectors is carried out and, with the option of "Mark Different Lengths", it is possible to visualize the difference between real and apparent length of the connections in the project. With the option enabled, all connections that have a represented size other than the manufacturing size appear in red.

To set the represented and manufacturing lengths, right-click on the desired connection and "Connection Properties". A window will open with various connection settings available.
In the "Segment" section, you can view the "Manufacturing Length" and "Displayed Length" parameters. If these settings are different and the option "Mark Different Lengths" is enabled, the selected segment will appear in red. If they are the same, the segment is marked in blue. See the difference:

The adjustment is made with 200 mm for each parameter and, at the end, it is possible to see the properly configured connection with its same apparent and manufactured size.
